There were no additions or changes to the agenda.
Ms. Vidt nominated Mr. Zeigler to serve as chair of the committee for FY 2008. Due to no other eligible members on the committee, Mr. Zeigler accepted the nomination and will serve as chairperson.
Members discussed the lack of member participation on some of the committees. There was discussion of having the Executive Committee added to the State Plan Committee conference calls. Staff will bring this up on the next Executive Committee conference call.
Ms. Vidt stated she would like to add a line under the Outreach section about efforts to reach rural areas of the state including knowledge and awareness of OVR services. Under the Emerging Concerns section, Ms. Vidt would like to find statistics on the returning veterans and what is being done for them by OVR. Staff will send last year's attachment with OVR's responses to the committee to review for the next call.
Staff informed the committee that a generic brochure has been made for the CACs. This will be sent out to the committee for review.
The next conference call is scheduled for October 22, 2007, at 11:30 a.m.
