There were no additions or changes to the agenda.
Mr. Larry Kauffman stated the purpose of today's call is to lay out the process for writing the state plan attachment. The council's recommendations for the state plan attachment will go into OVR's 2009/2010 state plan.
Members reviewed Maryland's attachment and thought the council could model their plan the same way, short and to the point. Staff will resend the needs assessment survey, last year's state plan attachment and the council's customer satisfaction survey to members to review.
Mr. Kauffman suggested everyone on the call write down 3 things that OVR did that was good and three things that need improvement. Send these ideas to the office by December 23rd then staff will forward to Mr. Kauffman to review. Mr. Kauffman will then compile a list to be sent to all members of the committee to review for the next call. Members expressed concern with the budget cuts that OVR took this year. Mr. Michael Adamus stated that he will contact Mr. Bill Gannon, Executive Director, OVR, and get his thoughts on how the cuts will impact services.
The next conference call will be held on January 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
