Rehabilition Advisory Council 1995-96 Annual Report

V. PLANS/GOALS FOR FY 1996-1997

In August, 1996 the RAC held a two day planning retreat in State College. With the assistance of an organizational development consultant, the Council developed a Mission Statement, goals, objectives, timelines, and committees to achieve various goals. The RAC also drafted an outline for the resource plan for the upcoming fiscal year.

Mission Statement:

The Mission Statement is intended to reflect the essence of the RAC's responsibilities as set forth in the 1992 Amendments to the Rehabilitation Act and to define the RAC's frame of reference as it fulfills those responsibilities.

Goals and Timelines:

The following chart provides an overview of the goals and timelines which the Council established for the new fiscal year. Each goal has a committee, assigned support staff, and initial objectives to be met. Objectives may be revised or deleted as the committee work progresses. Each committee has an expanded chart to track activities and results over the course of the year. The Council believes that this process will promote better focus and coordination of efforts.
