Members of the RAC are appointed by the Governor. During this reporting period the RAC consisted of 24 members including persons with disabilities, parents and guardians of persons with disabilities, advocates, service providers and representatives of the business community. Additionally, as required, 51 percent of the RAC representation includes: persons with disabilities; persons not employed by the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation; parents, family members, guardians, advocates or authorized representatives of individuals with disabilities who have difficulty representing themselves; and current applicants or former recipients of OVR services. Membership is also geographically diverse to assure that urban, suburban, and rural perspectives are provided.
