Dear Council Members and Community Partners:
I am deeply honored to serve as Chair for the Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Council. I know that I have large shoes to fill in continuing the leadership of the outgoing Chair, Michael Adamus. I have personally learned a great deal from Michael and treasure the experience of working under his leadership.
During the coming year, the PaRC will continue to monitor the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and other disability related legislation. In partnership with OVR, the PaRC will monitor the accessibility of Careerlink services and conduct customer satisfaction surveys. The PaRC will continue to review OVR fiscal and statistical reports relative to service delivery and placements.
I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead for the PaRC over the next year. Together, we will work hard to advocate for the vocational rehabilitation interest of people with disabilities and improve communication between the PaRC and OVR, state and local Workforce Investment Board, the Citizen Advisory committees, stakeholder groups, and other state advisory bodies. The members of the PaRC will form a united effort to educate the public about OVR services and there mission. I welcome your ideas and I am enthusiastic about our future.
Sincerely,
Micki Greenstein
