Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Council

The Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Council is a statewide citizens group created to advise the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) about how well its programs and services match the needs of people with disabilities. Fifty percent of the Rehabilitation Council members are either persons with disabilities or have family members who are persons with disabilities.

Community Jobs and a Living Wage

At the March 2, 2016 Full Council Meeting the PaRC voted to support the Disability Rights Pennsylvania’s paper on “Community Jobs and a Living Wage: Opportunities for People with Disabilities in Pennsylvania” (December, 2015).

The paper is available on the Disability Rights website.

Mission

The mission of the Council is to inform and advise the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, the State Board of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Legislature, and the Governor on the diverse issues affecting employment of people with disabilities.
